Scattered energy

When you are doing the same thing over and over and getting the same outcomes, it feels overwhelming. I have been there. You are not alone. It's when our energy levels feel depleted and scattered that we often become stuck, frozen, or trapped in an endless cycle of do-ing.

As humans we are designed to have laser- focus and yet our world demands scattered thinking, multitasking, and busy-ness. Some will even tell you that they thrive this way. If you are scattered and not feeling like you are thriving at work and especially while working from home or under extra stress during the most intense of times...take time to pause. Find out what really allows you to thrive. What are you doing to tame the scattered energy?

Here are just a few things that I have been doing and some new ones I have learned from my clients:

O daily Brain Dump (somedays multiple brain dumps)

O boundary setting & saying NO to 'things' that are clogging my brain

O taking things OFF my calendar -- creating space in your day and life

O finding a ritual that separates work to home life (especially while working at home)

O turning off notifications & reducing energy vampires (eg., texts, social media)

O clearing out physical spaces, desk, or corners to allow for more creativity.
